Mission: The mission of this Workgroup is to provide technical processes for analyzing extensions to transport methods in current and future versions of the RETS specification.
Scope: The scope of this workgroup is to produce standards that define the extended form and format of OUTPUT from a RETS server. The scope of all such work is intended for broad adoption by the RETS community. Any activity not on track for adoption is explicitly out of scope for this workgroup.
Deliverables: The Workgroup will from time to time produce content for review and endorsement by the RETS Board of Directors so that it may be presented to the general assembly for formal ratification. The workgroup may produce prototypes to demonstrated feasibility or to prove key technical concepts.
Timeline: The timeline is dependent on specific tasks identified by members of the workgroup. Initial proposals for “Enabling RESO Standard Schema in RETS 1.x” and “RESTful RETS” have been introduced as work items – each of which with its own set of specific milestones.
